Game of Thrones Love Trailer: The Mystery Frames

Joffrey being cruel to Ros. It looks like they’re going to involve her in the plot even more this season. I didn’t like their insertion of Ros so much in season 1. It is not the fleshing out of a prostitute that I minded so much, because I prefer to get into the head of one instead of having faceless random women like in the books, it’s that they failed majorly at fleshing her out. She is always shown in a sexual context, always on the job, always clean, and the worst that happens to her is that she’s bored with Pyrcell giving the impression that being a prostitute is just dandy in Westeros. In this season I hope that they use her character better.

Robb and Jeyne. I wish we would get a proper look at Oona instead of always in shadows.

Theon in bed with a woman. Probably the captain’s daughter?

Shae is fierce, telling some dude who is boss. I look forwards to seeing the continuation of HBO’s development of her character. She was a bit of a doormat in the books. Now she stands head to head with Tyrion.

A first look at the stunning Steven Cole as Kovarro. Could he be Dany’s love interest instead of Joreh, please?
Q:I'm having so many crack thoughts about this whole Jeyne thing now, lol. It would be pretty awesome if they could do that, and have Oona stay on. Like, they could imply in the show that Jeyne was killed at the Red Wedding or something similar, but then at the end of Season 4 or whatever, they have a short scene where you see some Lannister men about to take a girl north, and then she turns round and BAM it's Oona/Jeyne. OMG so many thoughts, it's definitely too late to still be online.
Bah, I can’t figure out how to reply to my own posts. Because the critique that “Arya” is more likely to gain loyalty than Jeyne Westerling is a good one. But they do need to have someone to marry to Ramsay for the North sequence in Dance! Yeah, there are so many ways they can plug holes in this show and change things slightly, in still delightful and surprising for book fan ways, I can’t wait to see where they take it :)
Crazy Conspiracy Theory Concerning “Jeyne”
Ok, like everyone else I was weirded out by HBO withholding information on Oona Chaplin’s characters’ surname. There was some debate, but from her age and looks it’s pretty obvious that she’s Jeyne Westerling (or at least her function in the story) and not Jeyne Poole because Oona Chaplin could never double as Maise Williams.
BUT
What if she is to do the function of both Jeynes in the story on film? So for the seasons covering aCoK and aSoS she is Robb’s love interest/downfall. Then starting in aFfC/aDwD her role shifts. Tywin decides to give Jeyne, former Queen in the North, over to Ramsay Bolton for Roose’s alliance and to help their power in the North?
Jeyne. Needs magic love potion to seduce Robb Stark. Obviously.
Yep, if certain fans are to be believed this gorgeous, charismatic girl needs some mystical intervention for a king of fall in love with her. Because there is no other way she could win him over.
Parisian Skies: So that's the problem...
So, a little idle poking around on tumblr reveals that this crazy protectiveness of this actress seems to come from a really weird attachment to the half-assed character she will be playing.
And by half-assed I mean that this Jeyne seems to be some weird semi made-up character with a ridiculously inserted foreign background. Another case, I suspect, of lets change a character because of the actor/actress we got.
Way to go respecting the source material. And if it is a case of “lets make the best of an awkward situation” in terms of cutting characters and compressing/changing plot, then I still don’t see anything cool about it. Its a necessary evil, nothing more.
Westeros.org has infiltrated tumblr, DEFCON 1 tbh
Oh my god not foreign characters.
Gasp
ANYTHING BUT THAT
How can someone so racist and abelist get the official stamp? I shake my head at the immaturity. Perish the thought of HBO, you know, trying to make fantasy less white because it’s not as if continents exist in isolated lilly-bubbles.
